Erin & Mike

Erin and Mike were married at the Duquesne University Chapel and held their reception at the Carnegie Music Hall Foyer. You may remember Erin and Mike from their engagement experience earlier this year.

I liked the shoes, the chandelier and the red wall, so I brought them all together.

These three ladies are the BEST, you may recognize Erin's mom, Deb, I shot her anniversary session in July.

I'm not sure who she was looking at, but I liked her expression.

Coming out of the chapel, just married!!

These boys were very cute and very active, but it was amazing how they stopped to stare at Erin.

This is Erin's brother Sean and his lovely girlfriend Taylor. Seany-boy and I had a little talk, he knows the right thing to do.

It would be remiss of me not to mention Susie, we had a great time together, she was very encouraging. Love ya Sooz!

Having some fun under "our" tree.

Craig captured this gem, I love the details, but especially the Rosary because it belonged to Erin's grandmother.

Erin is so good at working the camera!

Wow, wow, wow. Love it.

Look at that gorgeous blue sky, it was a perfect day!

I thought that the tables and centerpieces looked really pretty.

First dance.

Have you guys noticed that Jennifer has been at my last two weddings AND Bob and Jeremy have been at my last three? Great vendors stick together. LOL

Stefanie & Tom

Stefanie and Tom were married at Heinz Chapel on the University of Pittsburgh Campus in Oakland and held their reception at Seven Oaks Country Club. Craig and I held our reception there and it was fun to visit again.

It's almost difficult to describe how gorgeous Stefanie is... Craig took this shot in her parent's home. I love the light, the lamp, the chair, everything.

Just look at those eyes and those... uhm, yeah, just look at those eyes!

Craig was workin' the 70-200 and he was doing a great job!

The minute I arrived I knew that I wanted to shoot on their red swing.

Stefanie's parents are renovating this part of their home and I thought it was so lucky to find a brick wall like this. I LOVE it.

Look at this ring!!! Unbelievable! (I need one).

They always shut the doors when the ceremony is about to begin, but for some reason they didn't on Saturday and I love this shot.

Another image by Craig, he had a great day, lots of good stuff from him.

Oh, hi Tom! I realize that there a maybe just a few more images of Stefanie, but don't worry, Tom is a good looking guy and I took pictures of him as well.

Stefanie is so fun and has a magnetic personality, just look at her expression!

We had the most amazing light to work with, and when you add a gorgeous couple and the 50 1.2, it's the trifecta of wedding photography.

Just diggin' the light in this one. And look, it's Tom again.

They had individual cakes on each table, but I liked the pin light on the cake with their monogram.

A special thanks to Maria and Steve for the referral, Tom is Maria's brother and I love spending time with their family!

Marisa & Kevin

Marisa and Kevin were married at Saint Frances Cabrini and held their reception at the Embassy Suites. Marisa was an absolutely gorgeous, delightful person to be around.

The girls giving me some attitude.

Image by Craig, he knows I love details.

This is the second wedding I have documented where Andrea was a bridesmaid. I can't wait until she calls me someday.

Kevin and the guys.

I love this image, I think they look so relaxed.

And this was just great light.

When I arrived at Marisa's home earlier in the day, I was delighted to see the wonderfully shaded, beautiful backyard. And since the house was so close to the church, I suggested that we shoot there after the ceremony. I am so glad that we had time because the light was amazing!

I love this picture of the two of them, so happy!

This Bible belonged to Kevin's grandmother and every couple signs it when they get married. It's a very special family tradition.

I enjoyed spending time with Marisa's parents, and I like the way her dad was looking at her in this image.

The cake walk was a blast! Never heard of the cake walk? Ask an older Italian.

A huge, special thanks to Courtney and Jeff for yet another referral, I shot their wedding in 2006 and they have been so kind to me. They just had their first baby and Courtney looks amazing, I could hang out with them all day.

And I had to include this picture of them on the dance floor because the-always-classy Jeff, was grabbing her rear with one hand and drinking a beer with the other. Love ya buddy!

Lauren & Chris

Lauren and Chris were married at St Augustine Church in Pittsburgh and held their reception at the Heinz History Center. You may remember Lauren and Chris from their engagement experience.

I was welcomed so warmly into Lauren's home when I arrived, and look what was waiting for me!

Lauren and Chris were so relaxed and so much fun!

My good friend Pam shot with me and captured this image just as the wind lifted Lauren's veil. I thought that her dress looked really pretty on her back.

Oh man, I just love, LOVE this image.

Lauren was a fun, puffy pillow of gorgeousness. LOL

Pam shot this image and I thought that she did a great job capturing their expressions as Chris's younger brother made a speech.

Lauren's grandparents during the generations dance, they have been married over fifty years.

I don't even know what to say about this image, it has me almost speechless. We went outside to shoot the sunset and the wind was working in our favor, once again.

We grabbed some great shots around the History Center.

We were walking towards an area that I wanted to photograph when I was blinded by the sun and I screamed, "WE MUST SHOOT HERE!!"

Even in the middle of a very crowded (and fun) dance floor, you can still get images like this. Pam shot this one as well, she was on fire this weekend!

I love night shots like this.

Sarah & Mark

Sarah and Mark were married on the beautiful, historic grounds of Old Economy Village in Ambridge and held their reception at Pittsburgh's Grand Hall at the Priory.

Not sure which of these detail shots I like better (above or below), so I included both of them.

I LOVE this shot that Craig took while Sarah's parents were walking her down the aisle.

I have been to Old Economy before, but I could never have imagined how gorgeous this wedding would be. All the different shades of pink just made me smile! How can you not be happy with so much pink?

Love the lines in this image.

The flower girl was so sweet.

It is my responsibility (one which I take very seriously) to bring the best out in my clients, even if they are children. I love children, but the ring bearer didn't want anything to do with me.

Until I asked him why he had orange eyes. LOL

We had so much fun with Mark and Sarah, they were very relaxed.

I think this is probably my favorite image from the day, I could play with it in Photoshop for hours.

We had the most amazing light to work with, it was a dream!

I love shooting the first dance at the Priory because there is typically enough light that I don't need to use a flash. Creates more intimate images.

And this is Bob. I thought I would post a picture of him since I mention him frequently. Love working with this guy, we both dress in black because we are both ninja's. LOL

Heather & Michael

Heather and Michael were married in the Hall of Architecture at the Carnegie Museum and held their reception in the Music Hall Foyer. This wedding had so many fabulous details, but I really loved Heather's shoes.

Peonies are my favorite flower!

I loved her shoes so much, I had to put the rings on them.

I think that this is a very classic portrait of a bride.

The detailing on Heather's dress was gorgeous!

I mentioned that peonies were my favorite flower, but right behind them are hydrangea's.

Craig caught this during the ceremony.

Heather's florist did an amazing job, I saw her working before the ceremony and I was really impressed (which is not easy, LOL).

Heather and Michael performed the most amazing first dance I have ever seen.

We were able to sneak outside a few moments before the dancing began.

Kristie & Mike

Kristie and Mike were married at Heinz Chapel in Oakland and held their reception at the Carnegie Museum. It was a gorgeous day for a wedding, even if it was a bit warm!

One of the most beautiful flower girls I have ever seen!

Kristie and Mike had two time slots at Heinz, which was nice because we were able to take a few more shots than normal.

I'm posting this image by my good friend David Burke just to prove that we actually went to Phipps. Kristie and Mike had rented the room for pictures, but when we arrived it was at least 9,000 degrees. LOL Needless to say, we didn't stay long.

Oh. my. goodness. Kristie has the most captivating eyes, and her veil was also gorgeous.

This shot is obviously from the same series, but I couldn't decide which one I liked better and you know I love details.

Finally, the groom!

Who needs Phipps when you can find locations like this?

I really, really loved her veil.

Two of my favorite things, sushi and big diamond rings. After using the sushi for a prop, I figured I had better eat it. Yummy.

Thanks again to my great friend David Burke for not only shooting with me, but for being my subject when testing light!

Have a great time in Fiji, guys!

Jessica & Mike

Jessica and Mike were married at Eisenhower Chapel in University Park and held their reception at the Days Inn, Penn State.

I am a Penn State alumni and it was really fun to see how much the campus has changed recently. If you have never been to University Park, it is GORGEOUS. My brother went to Pitt, so of course we had a rivalry, but all I have say is look at the difference in the bus stop shelters. Imagine the bus stops in Oakland, and now look at the one below... beautiful brick and stone with iron benches.

Jess and Mike are hard core Penn Stater's!

This is my new friend Tina (Jessica's sister and MOH). She loves photography, so we had a lot to talk about!

I love the contrast and saturation in this image.

I just like the way Mike was looking at Jess.

My good friend Pam Kopka shot with me this weekend and she took the image below. I owe Pam a huge thanks for helping me out at the last minute. Craig was scheduled to shoot with me but had to stay home with the kiddos when my mom (the babysitter) fell ill.

Alright, so we had a bee problem on Saturday. They loved Jess (and her flowers) and they would not leave us alone. Right after Pam caught this image, Mike swatted the bee with his bare hands (because he's a man) and the bee ricocheted off of something and hit me in the chest! And I screamed out, "I'M HIT!!!" (I'll pay $5 to anyone who can tell me what that line is from). Luckily, no one was stung.

This is the image that I wanted to capture because I liked the light. And I wasn't going to let any bee ruin it for me. Thanks for taking care of business, Mike.

I think I was channeling someone in this picture. LOL

Have a great time in Hawaii guys!
