I have been meaning to post this video since I launched my new blog-site, but I've been busy with gorgeous brides!

Episode 10

This is Craig's attempt at a podcast, he feels that he needs to be heard. I didn't know he was doing this, and I wasn't convinced that I was going to post it, but I don't want to hurt his feelings (he's very sensitive).

While I'm thinking about it, is there anyone out there who would like to make an intro for my podcasts for me? I need something brief and flashy using my logo and some cool music. If you happen to be getting married, or if you are already a client of mine, I'd be happy to offer you a product in return (if I choose your design, I'm kinda picky). Come on, help a girl out!

Episode 9

This episode is the fourth in a series of 2006 vendor reviews and the topic is florists. I apologize for the delay in bringing you this podcast, but I'm getting over a terrible cold (that stay in the hospital wrecked my immune system, I haven't had a cold in two years). And I would also like to apologize for my husbands behavior... watch the episode and you will understand what I am referring to.

Episode 8

Surgery sucks. Ya know, I'm a pretty upbeat, positive person, but I gotta say that this has been more than I bargained for. The surgery went well, and things didn't seem too bad immediately after, but once the meds wore off, I was in quite a bit of pain. Today is the first day I'm actually sitting in front of my computer and I was showered before 5pm, so I guess I'm feeling better.

Although my surgeon was unable to film AND perform the surgery (I was a little disappointed in her, I was sure she could multi-task), she did offer to take some images while she was in there. Click here to view my internal organs, not for the faint of heart.

She indicated that my gall bladder was rather large for a small person, and it took a great deal of pulling/tugging/manipulation to get it out of the tiny incision. Which would certainly explain the bruising around my belly button.

I am so glad that I waited until the off season to have this done. As I indicated in my podcast, they wanted to remove it in June but couldn't guarantee that if I had it done on a Monday I would be better by Saturday. The decision I made to just manage the pain during the summer was for my brides... I just couldn't imagine shooting a wedding (I'm very physical) five days after having surgery.

It's been difficult for me to just lay around, I'm so bored. I've been watching some cool shows on the History Channel and Discovery Networks, the other day I learned how carpet is made. And did you know that Rob and Amber from Survivor have a reality show on some obscure channel? It's on at like 2 or 3 in the morning and it's pretty funny.

I'd like to thank everyone for the cards, flowers and emails... I even received the most awesome video message from one my past clients. The support I have received from everyone has certainly made my recovery easier.

Posting this has been enough exertion for today, I need a nap. LOL

Episode 7

This episode is the second in a series of 2006 vendor reviews and the topic is DJ's. As described in the podcast, a well thought out DJ would not put a blue spotlight on the bride and her father as they share their first dance. Please watch the episode to hear my criteria for selecting a DJ.

I am really impressed with Eric's site because not only is there a ton of information, but you can plan everything online (search for songs, set the schedule, etc). He has a really slick database to capture your information.

Jeremy's website is just really cool... probably because he's a cool guy.

Randy, you're a great DJ, but you really need to do something about that website! LOL

Episode 6

This episode is the first in a series of 2006 vendor reviews. Of course I started with make-up artists because I LOVE make-up. I plan to discuss more vendors in the upcoming weeks.

Sorry about the slowly wandering camera at the end, it's hard to podcast in a mirror. If you listen carefully, you'll hear me use inappropriate language at the very end when I noticed that I was not focusing the camera well. I certainly could have edited that out, but I thought it was funny.

I highly recommend both Jennifer Palermo and Lisa Johnson because they not only do a great job, but they are also very passionate about their work. Click on the image to link directly to their websites.

Episode 5

I PASSED, WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very happy to report that I passed the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) Exam for Photoshop CS2. I took the exam earlier today and even though I am very confident in my knowledge, I was still really nervous. For today, I would appreciate it if you would please refer to me as Ms. Photoshop. LOL Watch the podcast to learn more.

For the record, the exam is fairly rigorous... you know, like the bar exam, medical boards, etc. Ok, I'm exaggerating, but it was somewhat tricky and I'm very proud to put ACE after my name.

Episode 3

In this very special (and very serious) episode, I discuss my hair adventure. After I arrived home I immediately washed it and attempted to style it myself. I must admit that I am struggling, but I have complete confidence in my ability to bounce back.

I go back and forth between being really excited with my new look and completely depressed at the loss of my hair.

Episode 2

I will be out of town tomorrow for the Joe Buissink seminar, but I wanted to post the podcast that I recorded on my way to Maraleen and Kevin's wedding yesterday.

That's a granola bar hanging out of my mouth, I like to grab a quick snack between the ceremony and reception. Joanne probably thought that she would embarrass me with this shot, but alas, it is very difficult to embarrass me.

My inspiration

Click the image below to watch the first episode of the Weddings by Heather podcast!!

**Disclaimer**
I am new to this, so I don't exactly have all the technical aspects worked out. And, as always, what you see is what you get when it comes to me. I didn't use a script, I didn't edit the video, and this is how I plan to conduct all of my podcasts, craziness and all!!

In this inaugural episode, I talk about one of my areas of inspiration (requires Quicktime player).
